    October 31 is a supply-chain event: what to do about Smithery URLs left in your MCP configs

    Smithery's MCP proxy and managed identity shut down on 31 October 2026, and server URLs on run.tools and server.smithery.ai stop working. Dead remote endpoints left in MCP configs are future risk. Find them, replace them with publishers' own endpoints, and delete the rest.
